Experimental Media Group explores the creative usage of digital media for artistic expressions, innovation and social intervention by combining contemporary art, technology, the sciences and design. Specifically, we design and prototype interactive applications to research how digital media can expand the way we feel, think, and express through our body. Most of our works are trans-disciplinary and include the following keywords: Digital Media Art, Interactive Performance, Immersive Media, Interaction Design, Tangible and Embodied Interaction, Hybrid Craft, Critical Making, etc.
We are waiting for artists, designers, makers, and HCI researchers with diverse interests and ideas to join. Many of the current projects are related to the interactive storytelling, cultural heritage, creative tools, and educational technology. Future projects can be volumetric video and interactive drama, site-specific AR applications, interactive screens for museum experiences, future of gaming/storytelling systems and interfaces, generative art, and many more. Students who are interested in any of these subjects or students with new ideas are welcomed to discuss with the director at email@example.com.
